John-Michael Mendizza (Erfurt)
I have been DJing somewhat regularly almost as long as I have been
dancing, and I realize more and more as my dancing progresses the
importance not just of good music, but arranged in the right structure
to make a nice environment for a long night of dancing.
To that end, I try to key my DJing to create the right flow and feeling
for the evening so that everyone will be caught up in the mood of the
Milonga and dance the whole night long.

Nico (Leipzig)
Today's
set meal consists of handpicked Tandas, served between different
Cortinas. The ingredients for both the starter and the main dish are
mainly selected Tangos, Valses and Milongas of the traditional
Argentine cuisine. Especially for the later courses I add fresh
ingredients for all tastes. Enjoy your meal!
* All ingredients
are organically grown. Since this is a natural product, the percentage
of the fixings might differ somewhat. Might contain traces of nuts.

Johan Steyn (Dublin)
I am primarily a traditional Tango DJ, though I do play some
non-traditional for dancers that want it (of which the Phantastango
dancers usually do - and it gives a nice change/break from the usual).
When I do it, I usually insert a tanda of
nuevo/modern/alternative/electro at the end of every TTVTTM cycle,
therefore I would say the breakdown works out at about 85% traditional
+ 15% non-traditional, ie. one tanda out of every seven is
non-traditional.

Eric Ludmann alias DJ Eric a Naro (Heidelberg)
Apart
from dancing and teaching, this year Eric introduces himself as a DJ to
Phantastango. After three visits to BsAs, the traditional Tango has got
a central place in Eric's DJing... (with Tandas & Cortinas)! As a
DJ Eric will give everything - and even more..;-)

Silke Kampfmeier alias DJane Ska (Munich)
Silke's roots are in Frankfurt, currently she lives in Munich.
Her
DJing is known for its sensitive mixture of traditional, nuevo, world
music, non tango and electro tango, pierced by funny balcan beats every
now and then.
"For me it is important, that we all have an
enjoyable milonga. I'm especially looking forward to DJing for the
"very first time" at PHANTASTango."

Stefan alias Stefan OK (Halle)
Finding
real dance patterns in the music piercing the couple's ears and
connecting it through the embrace with the floor, this is my task.
Additional to the jangling high speed sounds of the 30s and the sobbing
staginess of the 40s, there will be some experiments: Rough,
earthy as well as sweet unknown tracks of the early years with a
nostalgia being cared for by the powerful sound of contemporary
orchestras. Chosen and compiled live for you - nicely wrapped in Tandas
and accurately separated by Cortinas. Close your eyes and be all
ears!

Maria alias DJane Mara (Dresden)
I
feel strongly connected to both traditional tango and modern tango of
the streets of BsAs and I love to play them in the milonga. I love to
offer new rhythms and sounds of our lives for the dancer's
interpretation. Tango is what make of it!

Thomas Henschel (Berlin)
Thomas with his red-yellow Hanomag caravan and his accordion is a fix part of PHANTASTago
from the very beginning :-)
As well as his alternative milonga at "Haus der Sinne" in Berlin, his
DJing is refreshingly different. His specialty as a DJ is the East
European world music. We look forward to a wonderful Tango Brunch on
the last camp day!
